It pays to have a handbook. Even if you have only one employee, you are subject to the provisions of the Law Against Discrimination. the law requires you to have a written policy prohibiting sexual harassment. courts have consistently ruled that if you do not strictly enforce the policy and/or if you do not conduct required regular training for employees and management regarding the policy, you are vulnerable to significant jury verdicts against you.
